Apex has become a government accredited insulation installation service under the new Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts rebate scheme.The Homeowner Insulation Program, allows for the installation of ceiling insulation (capped at $1,000 medicare rebate) in the homes of owner-occupiers, landlords and tenants, with little or no existing ceiling insulation.

Sustainable futures
As a responsible and forward looking organisation, AMCA is working hard to promote sustainability in the industry, as shown in their policies.The AMCA will endeavour to:
- Promote the significant potential for the Air conditioning, mechanical services and construction industry to improve sustainability, as they make a significant strain on finite resources.
- Educate contractors on opportunities they have for change, so that their practices become more environmentally sustainable.
- An emphasis on educating industry on the opportunitites for positive environmental change, as well as providing support and working with other industry initiatives.
- Provide feedback to members and clients on their achievements, implementation and follow through with various strategies.
News - High efficiency system strategy
The climate control industry alliance (CCIA) has been formed by three Australian associations in the heating, ventilating and air conditioning industry, with the AMCA a part of that alliance.
The focus of CCIA is to work with the ministry council on energy, to implement the HVAC high efficiency system strategy.
The HVAC strategy has objectives of reducing annual greenhouse emissions and energy cost savings of around $350 million per annum. Their three broad strategic initiatives tackle practices, systems and people.
